Congratulations Collin and Timo. That sounds great. This year wasn't kind for the Urhot. We did win our final game, however 18-10. It made it better for me that I was the Urhot player of the game. I finally put my hitting together for it. I scored 4 runs and had 2 RBIs. (One RBI came from being hit by the pitch on my butt with the bases loaded, so it wasn't glorious.)
We spent the last two days at Linnanmäki. (The ticket is good for two days.) It rained a lot. The rides make me sicker than ever, but the kids loved it. (I did, too. Mostly.) Owen was barely over 100cm and could ride many larger rides with an adult. He loved them all. He screamed and laughed on roller coasters and such. It was fun see. Matilda was so excited by it. She's waited all summer. We kept telling her when the weather got better, but it looks like it will never get better. Rain, rain, rain...

Poor sore looser.
Jason and I got our Motorcycle Lisences on Wednesday. It was funny, we had gone too a lot of trouble to get a Motorcycle for the test. We wanted something small and easy to manuever, and we ended up getting a 200 cc Dirt bike from my old Mission Companion, Brandt Knowlton. Jason picked it up Monday night, picked me up early Wednesday morning so I could practice a bit, and then we had our tests starting with Jason at 8:20 AM. I needed to be on the road by 10:40 to get to the airport in time for a flight to get to work.
On Jasons last manuever the clutch cable broke, leaving me high and dry without a Motorcycle. I offered to do it anyway hoping the examiner would understand my stalling every time I stopped. She did not want to entertain that idea. So we went to the Yamaha shop to buy a new clutch cable. However not a single Motorcycle parts store had this cable in stock.
Jason now had his licesne, so our last resort was to have him go test ride a small Motorcycle from the dealer. He went in and came out with a thumbs up. I met him at the DMV and took my exam on the Dealers bike. It was funny. We are now going to join the local Hells Angels chapter and go forward with our lives as outlaw Bikers.
Talk to everyone later.

Justin and I are in the Colorado Mountains enjoying the cool mountain air. It is beautiful up here. We are currently engaged in a glorious game of Axis and Allies. It is turning into one of the more interesting games of Axis and Allies I have ever played. Talk to everyone later.

I rode a 1800cc Honda Cruiser today. Unbelievable. The thing is HUGE. It was a great ride and I even got to drive the beast for a time. See ya.

Where have all the blogs gone?
I am in Wichita with Justin and his Mother's new Boyfreind/family. We are being treated like Kings. Good food, good games, good fun. There has been some intense Fooz-Ball action, and some of the most incredible Ping Pong I have ever seen. We hit the road Monday, and although still uncertain, may stop outside Denver at a resort Condo for the night. The boyfreind has one he wouldn't mind us checking on.

Well Lee it will be strange having you so close. Too bad you can't find a great job in Utah. That would be great fun. Of course, now you will only be a Southwest flight away.
I am in Pittsburgh right now but will end up in South Bend tomorrow night. One of our planes ran off the runway last night in Ottawa Canada. It was one without Thrust Reversers. No one was hurt but the brakes failed and they rolled all the way to the end and off. The airplane wasn't even hurt too bad. They have my friend Stephanie from AllATPs, and my roomate Dave Tzounakis going up to ferry it somewhere tonight.
Talk to everyone later.

I am here in Charlotte. I was supposed to be in Nashville tonight.
We had a 2 1/2 hour weather delay leaving Hartford Conneticut today. The poor passengers. This is happening all the time. There is so much air traffic out there that the backup with these summer thunderstorms are terrible. Too many small planes filling up the sky. I have also heard that Airlines are not providing Hotels for passengers if they miss their connections because of weather delays.
Erek and I went skydiving on Saturday. It was fun and literally indescribable. We did a tandem so we could get a free-fall. We jumped from 16,000 feet, only 10,500 feet above the airport there south of Colorado Springs.
I may get a chance to stop by South Hampton this weekend. And it may be time for a last Finland trip this August. That could be fun. Enjoy the beaches once again.
