I'm glad to hear Becky's biopsy came back with good news.

No the games aren't over yet, but we have a summer break. We have 8 games in July and maybe we'll make up the one that got rained out last week.

The glove is good, too. That's cool about the horse.

The "-7" bat was a lightweight bat I bought first in Utah. Then I used it and it was defective. After a lot of hassle I took it bak to Gart and exchanged it for a "-3" bat since they didn't have anymore "-7" ones. The negative is determined by subtracting the weight (in ounces) from the length (in inches) and the result is whatever it is. In America now in high school and college they can only use -3 bats.

What happened to the -7 and what new bat? Was the -7 the one you bought in Utah?

I wrote a long summary of our doubleheader yesterday, but blogger ate it to spare you all the boring details. So, to recap: We lost the first one (10-9) and won the second (5-4). Both were good games. The first one is more impressive since it was against the team I think will win the championship. I went 2-for-4 with 3 RBIs and a Run in the first game, and 1-for-2 with a walk, an RBI, and a Run. So I was pleaseed with my production. That new bat feels great. I'm glad the -7 one dented. Our good pitcher (named Timo) pitched all 13 innings of the games. (Doubleheader games are only 7 innings.) I'm not sure how he does it, but he has a rubber arm. He's 37, he shows up 20 minutes before a game, cigarette in hand and the he can just flat out pitch. (Most of the runs score on us are unearned because of errors, though yesterday we played great defense.)
Anyway, we are all doing fine. Matilda is enjoying her last summer before school begins. Owen is still freaked when his shirtsleeves don't come to wrists. But mostly the weather's been rotten.
Hope all is well,
Lee
