I can't imagine why Days Inn would send me anything, so I'm guessing it's junk, Timo.

Happy Birthday Lee even though you will get this the day after.

Timo-Thanks so much for letting me use your computer to make flyers. It was fun playing games last night everyone. One of these days i'll win! I guess as long as I beat Keith it's cool. :) Talk to you later,
Amanda

Good job, Timo. We lost last night 19-7 behind some terrible defense. (Our good pitcher was also gone.) I had a great game though going 3-for-4 with a double and making a couple good defensive plays at first before moving to catcher. I was our team's player of the game.

I agree.

That's interesting. But I think their mix of fruity flavors does come off like prunes, if only because it's "in the air".

Timo, Frontier is the best to go to Denver. They are Southwestish, and have some cool Tail Logos if you ask me. Delta and United also go.

My Captain mentioned that he saw a show on Dr. Pepper that explained that it never had Prune Juice in it, ever! I couldn't believe it so I had to look it up. Here is what I found:

"2.1 Does Dr Pepper contain prune juice?

In a word: NO!

According to the Urban Legends Reference Pages at snopes.com: "It doesn't, but the rumor is remarkably long-lived, having been with us since about 1930."

In addition, Bottlecaps (the "Official Newsletter of the Dr Pepper Museum and Free Enterprise Institute") emphasizes in their Vol. I, 1999, issue: "Prune juice is not and never has been in Dr Pepper. The prune juice rumor is an old story that has been in circulation since the 1930s."

Also, the Dr Pepper company states on their website that "prune juice is definitely not one of the ingredients."

And, as if that wasn't enough, the site for Dr Pepper/Seven Up, Inc. has offered two different assertions during the past two years: 1) "its unique flavor comes from the blending of 23 fruits, none of which are prunes" 2) "Dr Pepper is a unique blend of natural and artificial flavors; it does not contain prune juice."

The corporation also highlights this "Fun Fact" on its web site: "Contrary to popular misconception, Dr Pepper never has and never will contain prune juice."

Are we all clear on this now?"

I found it here.

That's great, Timo. Last night my team won our game 13-5 for our first honest win.

I don't know about the bat. We didn't use it to practice, plus it's been too cold up to now to use without running the risk of ruining it. How long does it usually take to recover from bacterial pneumonia? I've been feeling stronger everyday. I hope that I won't get breathless exercising by next Monday's game. Otherwise, I'm feeling almost normal.

My team "won" their first game in the lamest of fashions. Losing 14 - 10 as we came up to bat in the bottom of the ninth one of the opposing players needed to go to work leaving them with eight players and thereby forfeiting the game. I wasn't there so I don't know why he couldn't just go to work ten minutes late. But it goes down as a forfeit win for us, but that's as lame a win as you can get.

Timo, how has your team been doing now? Happy name day.

Hello all, I've fallen out of the habit of writing here since I got back. The weather here is finally getting better, but I've come down with pneumonia. Or that's what they tell me anyway. They were scratching their heads for a while since I had 1) an middle ear infection and 2) a high fever for several days but nothing else. But I think I'm on the way back to health since I feel better today after getting an iv antibiotic last night, though my infection number (CPR) is higher (177 instead of 122 and 153 from the day before; I have no idea what these numbers actually mean. Timo?). Yesterday they all kept telling me I looked pretty good, but it wasn't the way I felt. Also, I missed my first baseball game last night because of it and the doctor said next week's was also out of the question. I want to play ball!

Matilda, Owen, and Melina are all doing fine. Owen is starting to ask for the names of things (which he'd previously never showed any interest in). Matilda is back in the swing of spending all her freetime with her friends as they rotate between apartments. Melina is almost done with her classes, so we'll all have more time in the summer.

By the way, Tiina, I will be calling you because Sunday Night the 4th, I will be in Denver possibly. Thanks.

Sarges Heros was fun on the Big Screen. Clays projector projects about 110 inch screen size. We each had our own bigscreen corner. It was fun. Talk to everyone later.
